Job summary

For Our Future Action Fund Michigan seeks a Canvass Manager to lead the paid canvassing program in Grand Rapids, training and supervising canvassers while following health and safety guidelines.

This in-person role requires familiarity with regional canvassing, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work long hours with a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license. The position runs through at least November 2026 and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 cycles of paid field campaign or door-to-door canvassing experience.
• Ability to work long hours, weekends, and travel within Grand Rapids.
• Commitment to building power in the progressive movement.
• Knowledge of VAN/Votebuilder (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Train canvassers and supervise a team in assigned region.
• Launch canvass events and manage field operations per safety protocols.
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
• Ensure timely reporting and data entry of regional activities.
• Recruit and schedule canvassers; deliver training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
