Job summary

Highland Commercial Management is seeking a Business Development Representative in Baldwin Park, CA. The BDR will generate qualified sales opportunities, research targets, and drive lead generation across roofing service lines while nurturing existing accounts.

Travel to client sites and strong CRM proficiency are expected. Requirements include a high school diploma (degree preferred), 2+ years in B2B development or outside sales (roofing/ construction a plus), and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of B2B business development, outside sales, or lead-generation experience; construction or roofing industry experience preferred.
• Familiarity with CRM and prospecting tools.
• Valid driver’s license, clean/insurable driving record, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Generate qualified sales opportunities across all service and project lines (roof care, repairs, maintenance, roof replacement, larger projects).
• Research prospects and target markets, including competitive analysis, to identify accounts and opportunities.
• Drive lead generation through outbound outreach, prospecting, referrals, meetings, networking, and data sources.
• Maintain active involvement in trade, community, and networking organizations; build relationships with partners and influencers.
• Qualify and refer opportunities to the right salesperson to close, partnering with the Account Executive to advance them.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on proposals and presentations for opportunities.
