Job summary

GFT is seeking a Mechanical/Plumbing/Fire Protection Building Systems Assessor to perform on-site condition assessments across NYC facilities. The role emphasizes visual evaluation of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems, documenting deficiencies, and providing repair recommendations through field notes and photos.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with facility condition assessments and related evaluations.

Qualifications

• Experience performing facility condition assessments of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate technical findings clearly.
• Willingness to travel across NYC boroughs for field assessments.
• Familiarity with field data collection tools and reporting workflows.

Responsibilities

• Visually assess M/P/FP systems as cited.
• Identify deficiencies, life indicators, risks; document findings with notes and photos.
