Job summary

The Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspector (S) position in the North Carolina Department of Labor’s Standards, Inspections Division enforces the Uniform Boiler and Pressure Vessel Act and related codes to govern the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of boilers and pressure vessels.

The incumbent will conduct inspections and carry out investigations, ensuring compliance with NCAC Title 13, Chapter 13.

Qualifications

• Comprehend complex technical data and documentation.
• Ensure boilers and pressure vessels meet applicable codes and standards.
• Communicate findings clearly in writing and speech.
• Interpret regulations related to boilers and vessels and their design.
• Must possess a valid NC driver's license; NB In-Service is preferred.
