Job summary

The Missouri Division of Fire Safety / Office of the State Fire Marshal is seeking a Senior Safety Inspector for the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Unit. The incumbent will inspect boilers and pressure vessels across designated Missouri counties, perform calculations, and file web-based inspection reports.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a Missouri Commission for boiler/pressure vessel within 90 days, and a valid National Board commission.

Qualifications

• Excellent public relation skills.
• Citizen of the United States with good moral character.
• Ability to obtain Missouri boiler/pressure vessel commission within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct periodic boiler/pressure vessel inspections in assigned counties.
• Perform engineering calculations and issue reports with recommendations.
• Investigate boiler/pressure vessel accidents and prepare necessary reports.
• Provide presentations as requested.
