Job summary

Philips in Columbia, SC is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to support the Multi-Vendor Biomedical business. You will install, troubleshoot, and service medical equipment at customer sites, ensuring reliable operation and patient safety.

This field role requires an associate degree in electronics (BSEE/BSEET preferred) and 5+ years of hands-on service experience, with strong ability to read schematics, use test equipment, and resolve complex failures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience servicing medical equipment.
• Knowledge of electronics, schematics, processors and computer hardware.
• Ability to read schematics and site drawings with minimal assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and service on equipment per manuals and OEM/3rd party training.
• Identify and resolve customer issues, coordinating with site service personnel.
• Maintain customer satisfaction as a primary goal and take ownership in challenging situations.
• Prioritize tasks with urgency as directed by Site Manager, Site Team or customer.
• Independently complete PMs, FCOs, installations and diagnose electrical, network and mechanical problems.
