Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a full-time Biologist to join the Earth and Environment Sector’s North Mountain Environmental Impact Assessment and Permitting group. The role covers the North Mountain region and surrounding states, focusing on botanical and wildlife surveys, wetlands inventories, and T&E species assessments.

The position requires independent work, strong communication, and collaboration within a larger project team, with occasional travel across the region and the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 3–5+ years of consulting experience, preferably on linear corridor projects.
• Familiarity with USFWS, BLM, USFS, and state survey requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage biological field surveys (avian, wildlife, vegetation, wetlands, sensitive species).
• Support environmental project teams on NEPA analyses and permitting.
• Assist with wetland and biological surveys, permitting, and documentation.
• Travel across the North Mountain Region and potentially nationally as needed.
