Job summary

Qualifications

• MSc/PhD in life sciences or related field.
• 2+ years in bioinformatics, data management or tech support.
• Experience with high throughput sequencing data analyses.
• Unix systems, bash scripting, Python and R.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer support skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Assist and enable customers to use PacBio data analysis software.
• Train customers on HiFi data and SMRT Link tools.
• Be the primary contact to understand customers’ sequencing data.
• Provide timely bioinformatics and software assistance to inquiries.
• Support sales with scientific presentations and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with applications, sales, service engineers and tech support.
• Provide customer feedback to product marketing and software development.
• Assist with software rollout and installations.
• Coordinate instrument installations with internal teams.
• Travel up to 20% for onsite support and training.
