Job summary

Wolter, Inc. is hiring an Industrial Battery Technician in Indianapolis, IN to service and repair batteries, chargers, and related equipment at customer sites. The role includes driving a company van and using a tablet for documentation, with emphasis on safety and timely service.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience, strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, and a proven ability to work with customers, manage priorities, and maintain equipment integrity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have very good skills in repairing and servicing batteries, chargers and related equipment.
• Must own tools necessary to perform repairs, per our recommended tool list.
• Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Must be certified to operate material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform service calls at customer locations to repair batteries, chargers and battery handling equipment.
• Read documentation to research and troubleshoot issues.
• Test batteries to diagnose and analyze performance to recommend improvements.
• Move and manage inventory of batteries at branch locations.
• Complete and submit service reports via tablet or hardcopy with customer signatures.
• Attend service training classes to stay up-to-date on products.
• Communicate with dispatcher on status and availability for new jobs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with territory sales representatives.
