Job summary

Compass Pathways plc is seeking a Therapeutic Sales Specialist to drive adoption of a novel mental health therapy in a field-based role. You will build trusted partnerships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, and healthcare systems, guiding clinical education and patient access while ensuring regulatory and safety alignment.

The role involves extensive provider education, patient referral optimization, and collaboration with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Commercial Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5–8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience.
• Experience in psychiatry, CNS, or behavioral health markets preferred.
• Medical and pharmacy benefit reimbursement experience.
• Buy‑and‑bill and site‑of‑care dynamics familiarity.
• Prior authorization and payer processes experience.
• Demonstrated success launching novel therapies or pre‑launch environments.
• Experience working with specialty treatment centers, IDNs, or complex site‑of‑care models.
• Strong clinical acumen and ability to communicate complex concepts.
• Proven ability to build trust-based relationships with healthcare providers.
• Experience supporting therapies requiring site certification or coordinated care delivery models.
• Highly collaborative with strong business acumen and territory management skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute territory-level commercial strategy to support launch and uptake of the therapy.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, and health systems.
• Deliver scientifically accurate, compliant education to healthcare providers.
• Identify appropriate patients and support provider understanding of referral pathways.
• Collaborate with treatment sites to onboard and optimize treatment workflows.
• Navigate site‑of‑care dynamics including scheduling and patient flow.
• Partner across Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Support, and Commercial Operations.
• Support patient access by understanding reimbursement pathways and payer challenges.
• Gather field insights to inform brand strategy and patient journey optimization.
• Manage territory business planning, call planning, and performance tracking.
• Demonstrate ethical, patient-centric engagement in all interactions.
• Contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
