Orbital Engineering, Inc. seeks an experienced Structural Engineer to support an Asset Integrity and Asset Management program at a client facility in Granite City, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program.
• 5+ years of professional structural engineering experience in industrial environments.
• Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and/or foundation systems.
• Experience in asset-intensive industries such as power, oil and gas, refining, chemical processing, manufacturing, steel, mining, or materials processing.
• Ability to independently develop engineering evaluations, repair designs, and capital recommendations from inspection data.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based role with office support.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural asset evaluations and prioritize corrective actions.
• Interpret inspection findings into evaluations and recommendations.
• Perform site visits to verify conditions and inform engineering decisions.
• Prepare engineering reports and condition assessments for client review.
