Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Structural Field Inspector to support Asset Management programs in Granite City, IL and the St. Louis Metro Area.

The role involves field inspections of industrial structures, documenting conditions, and collecting defensible data to support risk-based decisions. You will work closely with the Field Project Manager and Asset Management Program Manager to ensure inspections are performed safely, in accordance with standards, and with client requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of structural or asset integrity inspection experience in industrial environments.
• TWIC card holder preferred.
• Experience supporting Asset Management, Asset Integrity, MI, or RBI programs preferred.
• Familiarity with digital inspection tools or asset-tracking systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of existing industrial structures and document observed conditions.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and PPE procedures.
• Assist with preparation of inspection reports and deliverables with clear field data.
• Coordinate daily field activities with Project Manager, inspectors, and client contacts.
