Job summary

Renewable Energy Partners seeks a skilled Solar & Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) O&M Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of commercial and industrial solar PV and storage systems.

The role covers preventative and corrective maintenance, electrical and controls troubleshooting, and system commissioning to ensure safe, reliable operation across projects. Travel to sites is required, with a hands-on background in 208V/480V systems preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or higher.
2+ years of experience in solar PV, electrical, energy storage, or related field.
Experience troubleshooting 208V and 480V three-phase electrical systems.
Ability to read electrical single-line diagrams and wiring diagrams.
Must pass pre-employment background check, including drug/alcohol screen and DMV report.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on solar PV and BESS systems.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, communication, and production-related issues.
Diagnose inverter faults, grid issues, and production deficiencies; assist with commissioning.
Inspect PV modules, disconnects, breakers, and balance-of-system equipment.
Assist with inverter replacements, RMAs, and system restoration.
Monitor system alarms and overall performance; document results and actions.
