Job summary

SCI Summit Consulting, LLC in Maryland is hiring a field-based risk professional responsible for servicing workers' compensation policyholders throughout Maryland and Northern Virginia. Regular travel is required to conduct on-site risk assessments, consult with insureds, and support policyholder injury prevention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Safety Engineering, or related field.
• 9+ years experience in loss control or risk management in P&C insurance.
• Professional designation such as CSP/ARM/CFPS/CSHMS/ALCM/OHST preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts complex risk assessments of insured properties and operations, providing detailed physical and operational insights to support underwriting decisions.
• Identifies potential risk exposures and formulates strategic recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
• Analyzes loss data to identify trends and implements tailored loss prevention programs.
• Provides advanced technical guidance and conducts training for clients on safety practices and regulatory compliance.
• Delivers joint marketing presentations in collaboration with underwriting, claims, and sales to accounts and agents.
• May have responsibility for coaching of staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
