Summit Consulting, LLC is seeking a Safety and Loss Control Consultant based in Maryland to service workers’ compensation policyholders and conduct on-site risk assessments. This field-based role requires travel across Maryland and Northern Virginia to support risk management initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Safety Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 9 years in loss control or risk management in property and casualty insurance.
• Experience with professional designations preferred (CSP, ARM, CFPS, CSHMS, ALCM, OHST).

Responsibilities

• Conducts complex risk assessments for insured properties and operations.
• Identifies exposures and recommends strategies to mitigate risk.
• Analyzes loss data to identify patterns and design tailored loss prevention programs.
• Provides training on safety practices and regulatory compliance.
• Mentors staff and participates in talent decisions.
