Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Government Services Commercial Cleaning Area Manager to lead custodial operations across five to ten sites in a metropolitan area. You will set regional standards, supervise site leaders, own the region's budget and labor plan, and serve as the senior client liaison.

This field-driven role involves travel between sites to audit quality, coach teams, and resolve issues before they reach the client, while driving safety, compliance, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; combination with experience considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience.
• At least two years supervising staff; multi-site or area-level responsibility preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; travel between sites daily.
• Microsoft certifications preferred; any relevant maintenance/safety/facilities certs a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Supervise site supervisors, leads, and cleaning staff across locations.
• Establish regional operating standards, staffing models, schedules, and task calendars.
• Manage regional budget, P&L, labor forecasting, payroll, purchase orders, and variance review.
• Maintain staffing coverage through workforce planning and cross-training.
• Serve as senior client liaison; lead meetings and address escalations.
• Conduct quality audits and monitor KPIs/SLAs; implement corrective actions.
• Standardize processes, training, tools, and best practices across the region.
• Resolve operational issues and ensure safety and compliance across sites.
• Manage regional equipment, supplies, inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Support new site startups, contract transitions, and scope changes.
