Job summary

Adaptive Home Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Texas field team. You will deliver skilled PTA visits in patients' homes under a supervising PT, aiming to restore function and improve safety with a patient-centered approach.

We offer a productivity-based compensation model with a range of $75K–$100K per year, plus scheduling flexibility and technology tools to support clinicians. Field-based travel is required.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license (in good standing).
• Strong clinical judgment; ability to work independently in the field.
• Comfort escalating changes in condition to PT/RN/MD with rationale.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Reliable follow-through on treatment plans and goals.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily.
• Ability to carry/transport basic therapy equipment.
• Competency in core home health PTA scope: transfers, gait, balance, safety.
• Experience with home health scope and safety in mobility

Responsibilities

• Deliver PTA visits at home under plan of care.
• Execute treatment plans focusing on gait/balance, transfers, strengthening, home safety.
• Set/track progress and communicate with supervising PT.
• Coordinate with care team to address changes and orders.
• Coach patients and caregivers on practical home programs.
• Document promptly in Homecare Homebase (HCHB).
