Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Engineer III or Senior Engineer to join the Project Management and Construction (PMC) group. The role is field-based, with regular site visits and reporting to project locations.

You will provide technical leadership across Solar, BESS, and related asset projects, manage scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality, and coordinate with internal teams and external consultants. Travel up to 50% and relocation assistance may be provided.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or PE licensure.
• 4+ years of engineering experience for Engineer III; 5+ years with PE or 6+ years without PE for Senior Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects across project phases from development to turnover.
• Provide engineering guidance and prepare technical reports and calculations.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to manage scope, schedule and costs.
