Job summary

DEPCOM Power is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead and manage electrical crews on utility-scale solar and BESS projects. You will ensure NEC compliance, safety, and project requirements while optimizing workflow across nationwide sites.

The role involves field-based leadership, cross-site coordination, and developing processes to boost productivity and profitability, with travel between assignments and a home base between rotations.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical background with experience in power systems, renewable energy, industrial electrical construction, field services, commissioning, operations, maintenance, or related industries.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its practical field application.
• Experience leading self-perform crews, craft labor, or subcontractors in construction, commissioning, maintenance, or field service environments.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, construction documents, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for planning, reporting, and communication.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage self-perform field crews in the repair, restoration, and maintenance of utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects while applying Principle Based Management (PBM).
• Develop and improve processes that drive consistency, increase productivity, and maximize project profitability.
• Ensure all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with DEPCOM's quality standards, customer requirements, and operating procedures.
• Foster knowledge sharing, challenge assumptions, and promote clear ownership of responsibilities and decision rights to improve team effectiveness.
• Drive successful project execution by ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality expectations.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and risks while maintaining proactive communication with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Maintain a forward-looking execution plan through effective resource planning and management of a rolling three‑week lookahead schedule.
• Provide accurate daily reporting, track project progress, and support customer interactions as needed to ensure project success.
• Mentor and develop field personnel by promoting technical growth, leadership capability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
