Job summary

Episcopal Community Services (ECS) seeks a Problem Solving Specialist for an onsite, client-facing role in San Francisco. You will support single adults experiencing homelessness with trauma-informed, person-centered interventions and referrals to housing and navigation services.

Responsibilities include screening and assessing barriers, coordinating with the ONE System, and providing crisis intervention as needed.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelors in psychology, counseling social work, or related field a plus.
• 3+ years experience in crisis or unstable housing contexts.
• Knowledge of services for homeless and low-income San Francisco residents.
• Strong written and verbal communication; culturally competent practice.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess single adults experiencing homelessness using standardized tools and protocols.
• Provide trauma-informed, client-centric problem solving and crisis intervention as needed.
• Make prioritized referrals into housing programs and ECS Housing Navigation services.
• Maintain accurate ONE System records and track progress for clients and program.
• Collaborate with the integrated services team and community partners.
• Participate in trainings, meetings, and performance improvement activities.
