Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Patient Access Liaison (PAL) to support patients, caregivers, and providers in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement for Amgen therapies. This field-based role partners with internal teams to ensure timely access and education on coverage, financing, and patient support resources.

The PAL role requires strong knowledge of payer requirements, prior authorization, and billing practices, with travel up to 50% across the geography.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s degree with patient services/access experience.
• Experience in buy-and-bill or infused therapies is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of reimbursement processes including prior authorization and denials management.
• Ability to educate providers, patients, and sites of care on therapy access.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient access and reimbursement support for infused and specialty therapies.
• Navigate insurance benefits, prior authorization, and reimbursement processes with stakeholders.
• Educate providers and sites of care on coverage pathways and coding considerations.
• Investigate and resolve access challenges and denied claims.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy and Case Management to support patient access initiatives.
• Maintain compliant and accurate documentation in internal systems.
