Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based role to educate HCPs on patient support programs, access options, and payer policies. The candidate should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city and manage relationships with providers within the territory.

The role involves collaborating with Oncology stakeholders, staying current on reimbursement dynamics, and ensuring credentialing requirements are met to gain access at facilities within the territory.

Qualifications

• Oncology or hematology-oncology experience preferred.
• Knowledge of coverage, coding, billing, and reimbursement.
• Ability to communicate coding requirements at national/regional levels.
• Must obtain HCIR credentials and licenses as required.
• Excellent territory and account management skills.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs, access tools, and services.
• Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options (specialty networks, distribution, white-bagging).
• Educate on resources to address access issues.
• Provide local insight on payor policies to educate providers on payer issues and claims submission.
• Collaborate with Oncology internal stakeholders for key account management.
• Report payer trends to Patient Services and MHC account teams.
• Establish and maintain relationships with providers within the territory.
• Stay current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities.
