Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a highly experienced Oncology Nurse Educator to educate and support allied health care professionals on product and disease education for patient management. This field-based role emphasizes proactive education, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and travel across Ohio to deliver programs and support healthcare professionals.

The role requires a nursing, NP, PA, or PharmD background with 7+ years in oncology/hematology, strong communication and presentation skills, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing, NP, PA or PharmD required
Master’s degree preferred
Current active HCP license
7+ years clinical oncology/hematology experience, recent hematology & multiple myeloma preferred
Experience in academic and/or community oncology practice with Hematology/Oncology patients
Strong communication, initialization, influencing, business acumen, analytical and presentation skills
Ability to travel up to 50% (overnight and weekends)
Must have driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Must be able to drive company leased vehicle or rental

Responsibilities

Educate allied healthcare professionals on product and disease education for patient management.
Develop customized education plans based on account dynamics and clinical insights.
Educate on dosing, administration and adverse event management of therapies.
Deliver 1:1 and group education sessions and participate in meetings or round-tables.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, clinical operations and medical teams as needed.
Provide education to patients in appropriate advocacy settings when applicable.
Document customer interactions and manage resources.
