Job summary

Brainkind is seeking an experienced, NMC-registered nurse to join as a Peripatetic Service Manager. The role covers the North East, North West and Scotland with hands-on operational leadership across multiple services.

Permanent, remote and field-based with regular regional travel and occasional overnight stays. You will strengthen quality, governance and performance while supporting budget management and workforce planning to ensure safe, person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Substantial operational and management experience within health and social care.
• Experience of supporting services, managing competing priorities and improving performance across locations.
• Strong understanding of governance, safeguarding and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on operational leadership across multiple services.
• Support service managers to maintain quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Provide management cover and respond to operational challenges as required.
• Drive service improvements and monitor performance to meet objectives.
• Contribute to budget management, workforce planning and resource utilisation.
• Lead and support teams through service development and change initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve good outcomes for service users.
