Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned territory and manage the end‑to‑end process from application through closing. You will conduct sales activities, solicit loan opportunities, and coordinate with processing and underwriting to meet timelines.

The role requires an active NMLS registration, a high school diploma, and 2+ years of mortgage or real estate experience. Travel away from bank locations is expected.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration required under SAFE Act and Regulation Z.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two+ years of Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience.

Responsibilities

• Originates mortgage loans in an assigned Non-Bank territory.
• Takes applications, conducts preliminary underwriting reviews, submits for processing and underwriting.
• Spent 50%+ of time conducting sales activities away from U.S. Bank locations.
