Job summary

Compass Pathways is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL/Sr. MSL) to cover a defined national territory in the US, focusing on TRD and PTSD science. Field-based role with travel to healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders in neuroscience and psychiatry.

You will build scientifically grounded relationships, lead high-quality scientific exchanges, collect insights, and support medical education initiatives. Reports to Director, MSL.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific training with credentials (PhD, PharmD, PMHNP, MD).
• Previous MSL experience strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, within geographic area.
• Residence within geographic area.
• Strong verbal and written communication, emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scientifically grounded relationships with healthcare professionals and thought leaders in neuroscience and mental healthcare within the assigned territory.
• Lead in-depth, compliant scientific conversations on disease understanding, research methodology, and emerging evidence in TRD and PTSD.
• Address scientific questions with accurate, balanced medical information in response to unsolicited requests.
• Collect, analyze, and communicate medical insights to inform clinical development and strategy.
• Maintain high scientific expertise in therapeutic areas, landscape, and emerging research.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Development, Government Affairs, and Market Access.
• Provide training to sales and marketing teams.
• For Senior MSLs: mentor junior MSLs and support onboarding and broader medical affairs initiatives.
