Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to safely transition patients home or to care settings with respiratory and home medical equipment. You will deliver, set up, educate, and support patients and caregivers to ensure comfort, safety and independence.

The role involves field visits, equipment maintenance, and timely documentation to support patient care and reimbursement. A valid driver’s license and healthcare exposure are preferred for success in this on-site field

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
1 year of healthcare technician or related experience preferred.
Senior level requires 2 years of relevant experience.
Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
Perform patient assessments and reassessments to support appropriate ongoing care.
Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
Process orders and complete documentation accurately and timely to support patient care and reimbursement.
