Zusammenfassung

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes and clinics. You will educate patients and caregivers, assess care needs, and ensure safety and independence in daily life.

The role requires a high school diploma, customer service or healthcare experience, and a valid driver’s license. You’ll work primarily in the field with on-call elements and participate in safety and compliance programs.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year of healthcare technician experience preferred.
• Two years of relevant experience for senior level, including one year in a similar role.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection control standards, including PPE usage.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services and products to referral sources, as appropriate.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with all company policies.
