Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up and service respiratory and home medical equipment for patients in the field. You will educate patients and caregivers, respond to equipment issues, and ensure safety and accuracy in setup and maintenance during daily home visits.

Role requires a high school diploma, 1+ year in healthcare or related field, and a valid driver's license; senior roles require 2+ years in similar contexts. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer interaction or related experience preferred.
• Senior level requires 2+ years of relevant experience, including 1 year in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and applicable regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and infection control standards, including PPE usage.
• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment per policies and safety standards.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs; report hazards or incidents.
• Process orders and complete documentation accurately to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Maintain basic reimbursement knowledge to ensure proper billing.
