Job summary

Dane Street is seeking a field-based Medical Assistant to support in-person and remote evaluations across California. You will help prepare examination rooms, collect routine measurements, and assist physicians during evaluations, ensuring a professional, efficient day for examinees and providers.

This part-time role requires independence in varied settings, strong organization, neutral conduct, and patient confidentiality. Travel and lifting may be involved; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred but not required.
• Current CMA or RMA certification.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred and may be required based on assignment.
• At least 1 year Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned examination locations and prepare rooms, equipment, forms, records, and required materials.
• Maintain, transport, inventory, and store examination equipment and supplies.
• Complete required travel, mileage, expense, examination, and operational documentation on time.
• Identify and communicate operational, scheduling, equipment, safety, location, or examinee concerns to stakeholders.
• Support evaluating physicians during scheduled evaluations to maintain efficient workflow.
• Greet examinees, verify identity, provide logistical instructions for the process.
• Obtain and document routine measurements (height, weight, vitals) and assist with ROM measurements.
• Serve as a professional chaperone when requested or required.
• Maintain neutrality and protect PHI; document information accurately per procedures.
• Adapt to different physicians, locations, and patient needs while upholding service standards.
