Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Sales Executive for Carelon Research to drive field-based sales across life sciences clients. This Director-Equivalent role focuses on building a robust sales pipeline, managing relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and diagnostic partners, and communicating the value of research data products.

The position requires strategic selling, excellent communication with senior stakeholders, and travel to client sites and conferences.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 8+ years in healthcare, incl. 4+ years in sales.
• Alternate education/experience equivalent allowed.
• MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Experience selling data products in life sciences or healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Devises and executes sales strategies to achieve or surpass goals with life science companies.
• Builds a new book of business by targeting key clients in the life sciences sector.
• Identifies and cultivates client relationships, ensures satisfaction, and drives sales growth.
• Serves as an ambassador to and develops sales strategies for life sciences companies.
• Conveys, positions, and messages the research value proposition to clients.
• Proactively creates and leads prospecting activities for new business and existing clients.
• Builds and maintains relationships across client divisions.
• Partners with key stakeholders internally and externally.
• Gathers market intelligence and conveys information to stakeholders.
• Leverages company position through management of products, services, and initiatives.
• Utilizes internal sales tools to communicate and maintain pipeline and contacts.
• Prepares strategic account plans and reports.
• Travels to customers, conferences, and off-site locations.
