Job summary

Iron County is seeking a Licensed Appraiser for the Assessor's Office to perform comprehensive property valuations. The role involves field inspections, data collection, and applying standard appraisal methods to ensure accurate ad valorem assessments.

Applicants must hold a Utah Licensed Appraiser designation and have relevant real estate or appraisal experience. The job requires travel across Iron County, adherence to professional ethics, and ongoing credential maintenance.

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher from an accredited university and two (2) or more years of experience in Real Estate, Construction, Finance or Appraisal related fields, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Possess Licensed Appraiser designation with the Utah State Department of Commerce.
Must also possess a valid Utah Driver License to operate assigned vehicle for property assessment throughout Iron County.

Responsibilities

Perform complex technical duties in the complete valuation process from discovery to defense of value.
Conduct field inspections, classify and appraise countywide real property for ad valorem purposes using industry-accepted methods.
Access varied properties in diverse outdoor terrains under different weather conditions to collect data and perform essential duties.
