Job summary

Anderson County Government is seeking a Field Appraiser to perform on-site reviews and market analyses for property valuations. You will interact with property owners, verify sales, and ensure accurate records on PRCs.

The role requires measuring new construction and updating property details to support assessments. Responsibilities include correct classification of property use, meticulous data entry, and coordination with the Office Manager and Assessor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–5 years of office environment responsibilities is preferred.
• Experience in property appraisal, assessment, or related field is preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Tennessee driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review properties with on-site inspection of vacant land and improved properties.
• Talk to property owners to obtain correct information in a friendly, professional manner.
• Verify all sales and ensure accurate entry on property record cards.
• Measure, list, or update new construction and property features as needed.
• Classify property use and ensure accurate PRCs and maps are completed.
