Job summary

Beacon Hospice seeks a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator to support hospice services in the McKenzie, TN area. This role will recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, assign them to patient care activities, and maintain accurate records of services rendered and time involved.

Responsibilities include coordinating orientation, monitoring performance, ensuring policy compliance, and presenting in-services while collaborating with the IDG and other leaders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a related role preferred.
• Demonstrated past volunteer experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Current Driver’s License, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plans and supervises delivery of all volunteer services.
• Assigns volunteers to services based on program needs and the volunteers’ skills and interests.
• Assesses and monitors recordkeeping system that includes services delivered and actual time involved.
• Recruit, interview, and select volunteers.
• Designs and supervises volunteer orientation and training.
• Monitors and evaluates volunteers’ performance.
• Ensures volunteers’ compliance with hospice policies and procedures.
• Plans and conducts volunteer support meetings.
• Prepares services reports as required.
