Job summary

Chapters Health System seeks a Volunteer Coordinator to organize and supervise patient care volunteer activities. The role is part of the Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) and interfaces with staff, community, and volunteers.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS or equivalent, at least two years in volunteer coordination (healthcare preferred), and supervisory experience is a plus. Strong communication, attention to detail, and program development skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 2+ years in volunteer coordination.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong networking with community resources.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Program development and implementation skills.
• Interact professionally with clients, families, and agencies.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Healthcare or social services experience preferred.
• Excellent telephone and computer skills.
• Must have valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Ability to travel in community.
• Take initiative and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Company professionally through care delivered and services provided to clients.
• Comply with regulations, policies, and confidentiality.
• Maintain confidentiality of patients, families, and colleagues.
• Recruit volunteers through networking and marketing.
• Screen and train volunteers.
• Develop and implement programs to improve morale and effectiveness of volunteers.
• Participate in volunteer events, committees, and task forces.
• Maintain volunteer records and ensure compliance with file requirements.
• Serve as liaison between team members and volunteers (IDG).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
