Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes, clinics, and other sites. You will educate patients and caregivers, perform assessments, and ensure safety and comfort during equipment use.

You will travel to patient homes, maintain records, and uphold HIPAA compliance while contributing to a patient-centered care team with strong support and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Healthcare technician, military service, delivery/field service with customer service interaction or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, and maintain respiratory and home medical equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Perform patient assessments and reassessments for ongoing care.
• Respond to equipment issues, including emergencies.
• Maintain home oxygen systems during scheduled visits.
• Complete documentation accurately to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA.
