Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver, set up, and support respiratory and home medical equipment in patients' homes and clinics. You’ll educate patients and caregivers, ensure safety and comfort, and support ongoing care through assessments and maintenance.

The role involves field-based visits and may require on-call coverage within assigned areas, with a focus on HIPAA-compliant patient care and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, field-based, delivery, or healthcare experience preferred.
• One year healthcare technician or related experience preferred; senior level two years experience.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of HME products, services, and regulations.
• Perform patient assessments and re-assessments to support ongoing care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including emergencies when required.
• Deliver, set up, and maintain equipment; ensure safety and compliance.
• Complete documentation accurately to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Promote company services to referral sources as appropriate.
• Operate a company vehicle safely and efficiently.
