Job summary

AdaptHealth in Florida is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to safely deliver, setup, and support respiratory and home medical equipment. You will educate patients and caregivers to ensure comfort, safety and independence during home visits.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, documenting care, HIPAA compliance, on-call rotation, and promoting company services. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required; healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
• 1 year healthcare technician or related experience preferred; senior level requires 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, set up, retrieve, clean, and maintain equipment in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the safe use, care, and troubleshooting of respiratory and HME equipment.
• Respond to patient equipment issues, including under emergency conditions when required.
• Maintain home oxygen systems through scheduled patient visits.
• Process orders and complete documentation accurately and timely to support patient care and reimbursement.
• Maintain basic reimbursement knowledge to ensure proper billing for equipment and services.
• Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle.
