Job summary

Florida Parishes Human Services Authority seeks a Professional Counselor to provide Functional Family Therapy–Child Welfare (FFT-CW) in-home therapy to youth and families involved with the criminal justice system, DCFS, or wraparound services. The role covers Tangipahoa, St.

Helena, and Livingston Parishes in a community-based setting. This position requires flexibility, including some weekends, and a current Louisiana PLPC or PLMFT license.

Qualifications

• Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a PLPC or PLMFT is required.
• Flexible hours including some weekends; field-based role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop FFT-CW–based treatment and discharge plans.
• Deliver in-home, evidence-based therapy to families, ensuring continuity of care.
• Collaborate with the FFT-CW team and receive support from FFT, LLC.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to social service agencies and referral sources.
• Assist families in accessing community resources as needed.
• Attend trainings/webinars to enhance assessment, diagnosis, and treatment skills.
• Coordinate care with Peer Support, Case Management, and Care Coordinators.
