Job summary

Florida Parishes Human Services Authority (FPHSA) seeks a Social Worker to provide Functional Family Therapy–Child Welfare (FFT-CW) in a community-based setting across Tangipahoa, St. Helena, and Livingston Parishes.

The role emphasizes in-home, evidence-based therapy for families involved with the juvenile/criminal justice system. Applicants must hold a Master’s in Social Work and Louisiana LMSW/LCSW/CSW licensure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work required.
• Current LMSW, LCSW, or CSW licensure in Louisiana required or imminent.
• Experience with in-home, family-focused therapy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop FFT-CW plans.
• Deliver in-home, evidence-based therapy to families.
• Collaborate with FFT-CW team and oversee support from FFT, LLC.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to social service agencies.
• Assist families in accessing community resources.
• Attend trainings to improve skills in assessment and treatment.
• Coordinate care with Peer Support, Case Management, and Care Coordinators.

Join our team at Florida Parishes Human Services Authority as a Social Worker providing Functional Family Therapy–Child Welfare (FFT-CW) to youth and families involved in the criminal justice system, DCFS, or wraparound services. This is a community-based position, with services delivered primarily in the homes of families across Tangipahoa, St. Helena, and Livingston Parishes.

Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Certified Social Worker (CSW) plus:

A master's degree in social work.

NOTE: Permanent status will not be granted in this job title without LMSW or LCSW licensure in Louisiana; Certified Social Worker (CSW) credential will not be accepted for granting permanent status.

Job Duties:

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment and discharge plans using the FFT-CW model
• Deliver in-home, evidence-based therapy to families, ensuring continuity of care
• Collaborate with the FFT-CW team and receive ongoing support and oversight from FFT, LLC
• Prepare and submit progress reports to social service agencies and referral sources as required
• Assist families in accessing appropriate community resources when needed
• Attend required trainings and webinars to enhance skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders
• Coordinate care with Peer Support Specialists, Case Management, and Care Coordinators to support family members with complex needs

Position-Specific Details:

Appointment Type: Job Appointment.

Career Progression: Social Worker 1, Social Worker 2, Social Worker 3, or Social Worker 4.

Compensation: This position is eligible for premium pay of $1.00/hour for hours worked performing direct patient care.

• Social Worker 1: $19.88/hour minimum - $33.08/hour maximum
• Social Worker 2: $21.27/hour minimum - $35.40/hour maximum
• Social Worker 3: $22.76/hour minimum - $37.88/hour maximum
• Social Worker 4: $24.35/hour minimum - $40.53/hour maximum

Location: Family Functional Therapy Unit housed in Hammond, Louisiana.
