Job summary

CRG Search is seeking a Capital Project Manager (Engineer) to own complex manufacturing projects from business case through installation and startup. You will evaluate and transfer equipment from international locations into U.S.

operations, assess equipment readiness, coordinate installation and integration, and manage capital spend. The role involves working with Manufacturing Equipment, Vendors, Contractors, Operations, Finance, and Engineering teams worldwide, and requiring the ability to

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering/project experience in manufacturing or regulated environments.
• Experience leading capital projects, not just supporting them.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment and plant integration.
• Strong understanding of project financials and capital budgeting.
• Ability to read machine schematics using CAD systems.
• Experience working with contractors and equipment vendors.
• Ability to influence across functions without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex capital projects from concept through implementation.
• Prepare capital estimates, budgets, forecasts, cash flow and variance tracking.
• Develop business cases, ROI, and capital justification.
• Oversee equipment selection, relocation and integration.
• Draft manufacturing layouts and OEM specifications.
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships across multiple projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations and Finance.

We’re looking for a Capital Project Manager (Engineer) who will take ownership of complex manufacturing projects from business case → equipment selection → installation → integration → startup.

You’ll be working directly with Manufacturing Equipment, Vendors, Contractors, Operations, Finance, and Engineering teams around the world and be instrumental in evaluating and transferring manufacturing equipment from Asia and other international locations into U.S. operations.

That means assessing equipment condition and capabilities, determining what needs to be modified for U.S. use, working through layouts and specifications, coordinating installation and integration, and managing the associated capital spend.

This role is ideal for an Engineer who wants to walk through a plant, identify a problem, develop the solution, build the business case, manage the equipment, coordinate the installation, and ultimately watch the production line run because of your work

You’ll be responsible for:

• Complex capital projects from concept through implementation]
• Capital estimates, budgets, forecasts, cash flow & variance tracking
• Business cases, ROI and capital justification
• Equipment selection, specification, relocation & integration
• Manufacturing layouts and OEM specifications
• Vendor and Supplier relationships
• Multiple concurrent projects with varying levels of complexity
• Cross-functional teams spanning Engineering, Operations, Finance
• Continuous Improvement, technology implementation & root-cause problem solving

Requirements include:
