Job summary
Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, LLC is seeking an Associate Area Director, Clinical Operations to oversee nurse managers and clinical staff within a defined group of clinics. You will ensure adherence to policies, standard care, and competency while driving engagement across sites.
You will lead training, monitor performance, and support initiatives to meet clinical and regulatory goals in a fast-paced oncology environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing is highly preferred.
- Registered Nurse license in Florida is required.
- OCN certification preferred or to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Minimum five (5) years in healthcare; minimum three (3) years in clinical management.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day clinical oversight of assigned clinic sites and liaise between area leadership and site nursing teams.
- Mentor, evaluate, and partner with nurse managers and clinicians on staff performance.
- Monitor staffing levels, skill mix, and coverage; adjust based on patient volume and schedules.
- Ensure nursing practice adheres to chemotherapy/biotherapy standards, infusion safety, and hazardous drug handling.
- Conduct routine rounding, chart reviews, and competency validation for policy and quality adherence.
- Support implementation of initiatives to meet clinical, area, and regulatory goals with data and process improvements.
