Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute seeks an Associate Area Director, Clinical Operations to oversee nurse managers and clinical staff across a group of clinics. You will ensure policy adherence, competency, and high-quality patient care in line with regulatory standards.

You will lead clinical training, manage staffing, and partner with operations to optimize performance, safety, and service delivery while advancing our mission to deliver world-class cancer care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing and Florida RN license required.
• Minimum five years in healthcare; minimum three years in clinical management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical oversight of assigned clinic sites and liaison between area clinical leadership and site-based nursing teams.
• Direct, mentor, and evaluate the performance of assigned nurse managers and clinical supervisors, and address performance concerns.
• Monitor clinical staffing levels, skill mix, and coverage across assigned sites and recommend adjustments based on patient volume and treatment schedules.
• Ensure nursing practice adheres to chemotherapy and biotherapy administration standards, infusion safety practices, and hazardous drug handling requirements.
• Conduct routine clinical rounding, chart review, and competency validation to ensure policy and scope compliance.
• Partner with Risk Management, nurse managers, and clinical staff to ensure timely event review and corrective actions.
• Deliver clinical training and onboarding in partnership with Clinical Education and other departments; ensure competency validation.
