Job summary

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking a highly organized Assistant Project Manager to support transmission, distribution, and substation construction projects. This field-based role connects project management, field operations, accounting, and clients to ensure efficient execution from initiation through closeout.

Travel up to 75% and reporting to the Project Manager, you will help manage scopes, coordinate subcontractors, track costs, and maintain schedules in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's preferred.
• 2–5 years construction experience including project support or field engineering.
• Experience in utility construction or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with construction management software and cost tracking tools (e.g., Procore).
• Must be based in or relocate to the metro area.
• Experience supporting field operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned project scopes under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Coordinate subcontractors and material procurement for assigned scopes.
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project closeout processes.
• Knowledge of job cost tracking and basic construction financial principles.
• Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Assist with project budgets, cost forecasts, and monthly billing.
• Maintain project documentation and keep the PM platform current.
• Support development and updating of the project schedule.
• Attend and document project meetings and track action items.
• Enforce safety and quality standards on assigned work.
• Develop toward independent management of full projects.
