Job summary

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking a highly organized Assistant Project Manager to support transmission, distribution, and substation construction projects. This role connects project management, field operations, accounting, and clients to keep projects running smoothly from initiation through closeout.

Travel up to 75% is required; the position reports to a Denver or Kansas City regional office. Compensation ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 per year, with growth toward independent

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred in related field.
• 2–5 years of construction experience, including project support or field engineering.
• Experience in utility construction or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the metro area.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned project scopes under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Coordinate subcontractors and material procurement for assigned scopes.
• Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project closeout processes.
• Knowledge of job cost tracking and basic construction financial principles.
• Prepare and track submittals, requests for information, and change order documentation.
• Assist with project budgets, cost forecasts, and monthly billing.
• Maintain project documentation and keep the project management platform current.
• Support development and updating of the project schedule.
• Attend and document project meetings and track action items.
• Enforce company safety and quality standards on assigned work.
• Develop toward independent management of full projects.
• Developing financial and analytical judgment on budgets and change orders.
• Ability to manage multiple scopes and deadlines.
• Effective coordination with field and office teams.
• Commitment to jobsite safety and quality.
• All other duties assigned by management.
