Job summary

National Mechanical Experts Inc. in Charleston, SC is seeking a Sales Representative to join our sales team. You will generate new business by identifying and acquiring customers, performing lead generation activities, and networking to grow maintenance contract sales.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will meet quarterly and annual goals, build proposals, presentations, and RFP responses, and maintain accurate activity records while representing the company at industry events and travels.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of B2B sales experience; HVAC experience preferred.
• University degree or college diploma preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation and persuasive skills.
• Strong organization with the ability to prioritize.
• Access to a car and valid driver's license; pass drug screen & background check.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business in an assigned territory through cold calling, referrals and networking.
• Prepare and deliver promotional material for prospective clients.
• Respond to sales inquiries and meet with potential customers to identify needs.
• Create proposals, presentations, and RFP responses.
• Deliver on KPI's and sales targets.
• Communicate sales activity and pipeline forecasts to the Sales Manager.
• Gather and report on competitor activities that may impact the company and its customers.
• Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities.
• Participate in industry networking events such as sales and tradeshows.
