Job summary

Prime Hiring Solutions is seeking a Field Equipment Engineer to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain custom automation equipment at customer sites in Lewis Center, Ohio. You will read and interpret engineering drawings, support installations and upgrades, troubleshoot pneumatics and hydraulics, and travel 50–60% annually to serve domestic and international

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (bachelor's preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of field service or industrial automation experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, and drives.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation.
• Experience with hand tools, machine tools, and testing instruments.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel 50–60% annually.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical automation equipment.
• Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis.
• Read and modify mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, integration, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, bearing, and mechanical drive systems.
• Collaborate with controls engineers, technicians, project managers, and customers.
• Prepare technical service reports and recommend equipment improvements.
• Follow safety standards and support domestic and international customer assignments.
