Job summary

Valmet Corporation is seeking a Field Engineer in the United States to analyze customer needs and integrate Valmet products into client systems, applying current products to increase market penetration. Under supervision, you will perform analysis, implementation, testing, and documentation using design documents and requirements specifications.

The role involves leading project tasks, collaborating with customers, and contributing to software development, testing, and validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4–7 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of algorithm design and programming logic.
• Proficient problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Engineer and/or project team member for DCS projects.
• Analyze, design, Implement, test and document project applications software using various Valmet product tools.
• Code and/or assist in coding and test of project custom software.
• Execute Configuration Management and Quality Assurance procedures on projects.
• Provide on-site customer support as needed.
• Have direct customer interaction usually associated with project software modifications.
• Develop and/or assist in technical proposal preparation.
• Proficient problem-solving capabilities Perform related duties as assigned
