Job summary

Progressive is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster to serve as the primary contact for customers, guiding repairs from start to finish. You’ll manage your own inventory, negotiate with body shops, and assess liability with attention to detail and strong customer service.

The role is field-based, with a company car and travel within your geographical area; occasional office reporting may be required. Leadership and conflict management skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant work experience, with one year in appraisal/estimatics or insurance preferred.
• Leadership and conflict management skills are valued.
• Strong attention to detail and passion for customer service.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set timelines.
• Negotiate repair process with body shops.
• Document claim information and make decisions per standards and laws.
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolutions.
• Review supplement requests for validity.
