Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector who loves cars and wants to join a growing company. Our Inspectors are the face of our business, with deep vehicle knowledge and clear client communication.

You will inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions and off-lease sites, document condition, estimate repair costs, and assist the sales team with upselling. Travel to dealerships is required to inspect and report, and you will upload photos and list vehicles for sale on our platform.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in automobile field with customer service background
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Actively support efforts to improve customer experience.
• Inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions and off-lease sites to detect damage and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and submit a report of vehicle condition and repair estimates.
• Assist sales team with upselling services and products.
• Interface with dealers to build strong relationships and client satisfaction.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect and write condition reports and list vehicles for sale on the platform.
• Take multiple photos and upload them to the image server.
• List inspected vehicles on ACV Auctions platform for bidding and sale.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers to use the platform.
